The education of children is a cooperative effort of parents, the community and the school district. Historically, these groups have joined forces in Chickasha to create one of the best school systems in Oklahoma. In addition to strong academic programs, Chickasha students have many opportunities to participate in fine arts, athletics and leadership programs which encourage personal and social development beyond the classroom.
While we are proud of our accomplishments, we consider an academic environment to be a dynamic "work in progress" and are constantly pursuing opportunities for improvement and program enhancements. Recognizing the need for all children to obtain the academic skills necessary for a successful life, Chickasha Public Schools has been a leader in the development and implementation of full-day early childhood development programs, intervention programs, and alternative school programs.
Academic achievement is the measure by which we monitor the progress of each student and the successes of the district in its primary responsibility. It is also our hope that we convey that education is not a destination, but a journey and that each of our students accepts the challenge to pursue that journey throughout their lives.
